How to Properly Change Your Wiper Blades
Changing your wiper blades is a fairly simple task that can be completed in four easy steps.
- Pick the right blade size.
To get a proper replacement, measure your wiper blades’ length. Alternatively, you can simply consult your car’s user manual on what size to purchase.
- Remove the old blade.
To do this, lift the wiper arm away from the windshield and depress a small tab that can be found on the underside of the wiper. After you do this, you can slide off the blade arm by pulling downward.
- Attach the new wiper blade.
Pull the wiper blade into the arm and wait until you hear a clicking sound to indicate that it has locked into place. Lower the arm slowly back onto the windshield. Do the same for the other arm.
- Test the wipers to see if they run properly.
Make sure to do this or you might get stuck with non-functioning wiper blades when you need them on the road.
