Amarillo City, Texas: ‘Helium Capital of the World’
Amarillo is known as one of the most populated cities in the state of Texas. The city is part of Potter County in the northwestern part of the state. Amarillo City was once the self-proclaimed “Helium Capital of the World” based on the city’s high rate of helium production.
