These Vehicles Will Save You Significant Money!
If you’re in the market for a new car, fuel economy is probably one of the major considerations you have. Investing in a vehicle with good gas mileage not only saves you significant money, but it can also help protect the environment as you get to reduce your total carbon footprint. Plus, many of these fuel-efficient cars come with great features and modern designs within an affordable price range.
So, if you’re wondering what vehicles offer the best fuel economy this year, you’re at the right place. We at Veteran Car Donations have done our research and have come up with six of the most fuel-efficient cars on the market today. Our choices were based on the data gathered from two reliable sources, Consumer Reports and US News and World Report.
- Honda Ioniq (59 mpg)
The most fuel-efficient vehicle in our list is the Hyundai Ioniq, which achieves a maximum fuel economy rating of up to an EPA-estimated 58 city mpg and 60 highway mpg with one go. And, with its capability to hold up to 11.9 gallons of fuel with one fill-up, as well as its plug-in electric features, you can expect to get more miles out of this hybrid hatchback.
- Toyota Prius (56 mpg)
With an estimated 58 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the highway, it’s not surprising that the Toyota Prius continues to be a top contender in the fuel efficiency department. What makes it even more popular among hatchback enthusiasts is its size. Its body style allows for up to 50.7 cubic feet, which can fit up to five passengers across two rows.
- Honda Insight (52 mpg)
Another eco-friendly commuter car you might want to consider is the Honda Insight. Its fuel economy is estimated to be 55 mpg in the city and 49 mpg on the highway. Aside from these impressive numbers, the model may also amaze you with its superb ride quality and standard safety features.
- Toyota Avalon Hybrid (44 mpg)
The Avalon Hybrid proves that size doesn’t matter when it comes to fuel efficiency. Its gas mileage is outstanding — 43 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway, which is almost double the mileage of a non-hybrid vehicle of similar size.
- Ford Escape Hybrid (41 mpg)
The Escape Hybrid gets up to 44 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway, making it an ideal choice for those who are looking into hybrid and electric SUVs. It also offers a plug-in hybrid variant that gives drivers the option to run on solely-electric power for up to 37 miles.
- Honda Accord (33 mpg)
With a 192-hp turbocharged four-cylinder and a CVT, the base Honda Accord has an EPA-estimated range of 488 miles on a single tank of gas. While it may not be the cheapest car on this list, it’s one of the safest, with the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) rating it as a Top Safety Pick+.
Not Sure What to Do with Your Old Car After You Buy a New One?
If your garage isn’t big enough to house two cars, you’d be left wondering what to do with your older vehicle. Would you be willing to let it go? How about giving it a new and worthy purpose by donating it to us at Veteran Car Donations? When you do that, you’ll leave a lasting impact on the lives of the struggling veterans and their families in your area.
We’ll put your vehicle up for auction and use the proceeds to help fund the life-improvement programs and services for veterans of our charity partners. These IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are dedicated to helping former U.S. service members who are homeless and impoverished, those who are unable to find decent employment, and those suffering from disabilities and serious illnesses, including mental disorders.
Our charity partners use the funding they get from us to provide deserving veterans with housing and financial assistance, employment and livelihood opportunities, family support, free quality health care and medical treatment, psychotherapy services, scholarships, and other services meant to improve their living conditions.
To return the favor, our team will pick up and tow your vehicle for free anywhere in the country. We’ll also promptly send you the 100% tax-deductible sales receipt of your car via mail soon after its sale. You can use the receipt to claim the highest possible tax deduction in the next tax season.
However, the best reward you’ll get for making a charitable contribution to us is the joy of knowing that you’re giving back to the brave men and women who risked their lives to ensure our security and protect our liberties.
We accept nearly all types of vehicles, including those that are no longer in good condition.
