Show Our Retired Female Warriors They’ve Not Been Forgotten

When active conscription or drafting ended in 1973, women represented just 2% of enlisted personnel in the U.S. armed forces and 8% of the officer corps. With the latest available data from the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense, the number has risen to 16% of enlisted recruits and 19% of the officer corps.

Our female service members have achieved great success, becoming generals, commanding ships, and earning medals of honor because of their bravery. Indeed, they are helping shape our country’s future.

The increasing number of female U.S. soldiers isn’t expected to change. Analysts forecast that if the trend continues, the number of enlisted women (including officers) may well double in the next 20 years or so.

As a result of the increase in the number of U.S. servicewomen, we’re also seeing an increase in the number of female veterans. Today, the country has about 2 million female veterans. By the year 2040, it’s estimated that women will comprise around 18% of the veteran population in the country.

Sadly, our female troops facing tough challenges when they retire from the service. Many of them fare even worse than their male counterparts since our military veteran programs are primarily male-centered. Although significant improvements have been made over the years to help retiring female soldiers, there are still those who fall through the cracks without any form of support.

You can do your part in showing our retired female warriors that they have not been forgotten. Veteran Car Donations has come up with these three top suggestions:

  1. Use social media to spread awareness about the problems facing our female veterans.

Spread awareness about the challenges facing our female veterans by posting informative articles and photos about them on social media. The more people are made aware of the obstacles our women veterans are facing, the more help they can receive.

  1. Help sponsor a companion dog for a woman veteran suffering from PTSD.

Women in our military are twice as likely as men to develop PTSD either during or after their service. One way to help support our nation’s female heroes who are suffering from PTSD is by getting them companion or service dogs. Help sponsor one such dog by donating to organizations such as American Humane, which has a Pups4Patriots program for veterans struggling with PTSD

  1. Donate an unwanted vehicle for the benefit of our female vets.

There are nonprofit organizations that accept donations of old vehicles for the benefit of impoverished and underserved veterans. You don’t have to look far for such a nonprofit. All you have to do is contact us at Veteran Car Donations and we’ll accept your vehicle donation. This will be used by our veteran nonprofit organization partners to bring life-transforming benefits to both male and female veterans in your local area.

Here’s How We’ll Use Your Vehicle Donation

Veteran Car Donations serves as a vehicle donation platform for prestigious military and veteran nonprofit organizations. We collect old vehicles, sell them, and distribute the proceeds to our charity partners that are dedicated to providing support services to former members of our military. These IRS-certified 501(c)(3) nonprofits assist veterans who are homeless,  unable to find jobs, and suffering from disabilities and illnesses, including mental health issues.

Our charity partners use the funding that we give them to provide their beneficiaries with free quality health care, financial aid, housing assistance, employment opportunities, family support, educational scholarships, psychotherapy services, and many other benefits.

As our donor, expect to receive valuable rewards. We’ll send you by mail the 100% tax-deductible sales receipt of your vehicle within 30 days after it gets sold. This receipt will entitle you to receive the maximum tax deduction in the next tax season.

We’ll also haul off your car for free at a date and place of your choice. There’s no place in the U.S. where we can’t reach you since we operate throughout the country.

On top of the material rewards you’ll get, your vehicle donation will give you that exquisite feeling of satisfaction, knowing that you’ll be helping uplift the lives of our nation’s suffering heroes.

We accept nearly all types of vehicles. We even take those that have dents, scratches, or defective parts. If you’re uncertain about your car’s qualification for our program, let us know your concerns here and we’ll tell you what we think.
