How to Donate Your Car
How can I donate my car to veterans? You can start the donation process by filling out our online donation form or calling us at 877-594-5822. Tell us your contact details and your vehicle’s year, make, and model. Please also let us know your preferred time, date, and location for your vehicle pickup.
We will arrange for a towing company in your area to pick up your vehicle at no cost to you. You will receive a towing receipt at pickup, which you should retain for your records. Texas donors should follow the provided instructions for signing the title and completing the transfer. You may also remove your license plates and submit a Vehicle Transfer Notification to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles within 30 days. Filing this notification updates the vehicle record and can help protect you from responsibility for certain tickets or toll violations after the transfer.
Please also tell us about any conditions that could affect loading, such as flat tires, major damage, locked steering, or missing parts. Make sure the towing company can safely reach the vehicle, especially if it is parked in a garage, behind a locked gate, or in a narrow driveway.
When scheduling, provide the pickup address and describe where the vehicle is parked. Access details can help the towing vendor arrive with equipment suited to the vehicle’s condition and available parking space. You generally do not need to repair, wash, or transport an eligible vehicle before donating it.
