Colorado Motorcycle Donations: Giving Back to Our Heroes

Do you know that you could transform the lives of former U.S. military servicemen and women by taking part in our Colorado motorcycle donations program? You’ll be doing yourself a huge favor as well because it’s the fastest and the easiest way for you to get your great-grand uncle’s ancient motorcycle off your property – for free!

Don’t pass up the chance to do something extraordinary in the most practical way! With your motorcycle donations to us at Veteran Car Donations, you could never go wrong.

Top 6 Rewards for Joining Colorado Motorcycle Donations

If you have an old motorcycle that you no longer need, are you just going to leave it rotting out in your driveway? Or are you planning on selling it yourself? Do you intend to have it sent to a scrapyard?

There are multiple ways to get rid of a vehicle and maybe even profit from it. Today, we encourage you to consider donating it.

Once you donate your motorcycle, 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to charity to help improve the living condition of many of our veterans, our nation’s heroes who are now wallowing in misery. At the same time, in donating your motorbike you also get to enjoy heaps of awesome rewards such as:

  • Free towing services!

You get to get rid of that old thing for free!

  • Convenience!

No more selling, no more demanding paperwork to deal with, plus a donation process that barely takes 10 minutes!

  • Clutter-free garage!

Finally, that eyesore that has earned the ire of your wife and neighbors is out of your property!

  • No more unnecessary expenses!

Saying goodbye to paying unnecessary insurance and maintenance of a vehicle you don’t use anymore has never been so liberating!

To thank you for your generosity, you’ll be able to enjoy a hefty tax deduction as approved by the IRS. The amount will depend on your vehicle’s selling price or fair market value.

To give you an overview, if your vehicle sells for $500 or less, you can claim its fair market value (check Kelly Blue Book for a general estimate) or its final selling price, whichever is higher. If it sells for more than $500, you can only claim its selling price.

This is the best reason of all. The fulfillment you get and the impact you make on other people — priceless.

Why Do the Vets Need Our Help?

After years of serving the country to uphold the freedom and security that we all enjoy, many of our veterans have returned home from their overseas deployment with a slew of problems — serious physical injuries, Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other mental health troubles.

Moreover, even uninjured veterans have to face the serious problem of unemployment and lack of support, making it difficult for them to transition to civilian life. Unable to find a source of income to feed themselves and their family, a number of these former soldiers have become homeless, surviving on the mercies of passersby as they beg for food.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) estimated that there were 39,471 homeless veterans on any given night in 2016.

Based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics, among the 453,000 unemployed veterans in 2016, 60 percent were age 45 and over, 36 percent were 25 to 44, and 4 percent were 18 to 24.

As reported on the Veterans Data Central, 395,007 veterans lived in Colorado as of 2014 records. With a 7.5 percent veteran unemployment rate, 6.5 percent of Colorado veterans lived in poverty and about 950 were homeless. Furthermore, 77,191 veterans had service-related disabilities.

How Can We Improve Their Current Situation?

The U.S. government is working tirelessly to improve the veterans’ quality of life. However, there’s still a gap that we need to bridge.

Veteran Car Donations has been raising funds through vehicle donation programs for the benefit of our IRS-certified 501(c)3 nonprofit partners including Homes for Our Troops (HFOT), Soldiers’ Angels, Serving Veterans Inc. and Heroes on the Water to ensure that we all reach our common goal: to better the lives of our veterans. With our combined efforts, we bring these veteran-specific programs and services to thousands of veterans across the country:

  • Job training and mentoring
  • Educational assistance and scholarship programs
  • Grief counseling for the families of fallen heroes
  • Accessible healthcare facilities as well as mental health services
  • National mortgage-free and specially adapted housing
  • Basic needs assistance
  • Transitioning support
  • Public awareness drives

With these programs and more, we have helped hundreds and thousands of veterans over the years. Today, you can help us improve the quality of their lives by participating in our Colorado motorcycle donations program! Donate your clunker by calling us at 877-594-5822!
