Help Lift Our Veterans Out of Poverty
Our veterans faced numerous life-threatening situations on the battlefields when they were still active-duty troops deployed in some war-torn countries. They suffered a lot and got themselves bloodied and wounded by enemy combatants. They saw horrific scenes of carnage, including their comrades getting mowed down or blown to bits by the enemy.
Now that they’re back home after the end of their mission and their subsequent discharge, the wounds they got and the nightmarish memories remain fresh.
Worse, their troubles are not yet over. They are now facing great difficulty because they cannot find jobs that could enable them to support themselves and their families. They are also having a hard time collecting the government benefits due them. Applications for benefit claims take too long to process, and many of them get rejected in the end for one reason or another.
Some of these veterans see little chance of finding jobs because of their physical disabilities, psychological disorders, and lack of educational qualification and civilian job requirements.
Some have been forced out of their homes for failure to pay rent and are now living on the streets and sidewalks, begging passersby for food, clothing, medicine, and shelter. These homeless veterans living wretched lives can be found in our towns and cities, including here in Irving, Texas.
The Sad State of Our Heroes
We need to be reminded that these veterans are the soldiers who fought for us to defend and protect our rights and our nation’s security. These veterans are our nation’s living heroes. But look where they are now.
That’s the reason why Veteran Car Donations is here. With your support and with the dedication of our non-profit charity partners, we intend to lift as many of these veterans as possible out of poverty so they can live normal lives.
With our Irving, Texas car donations program, we encourage people to donate a car and other vehicles, so that we can turn them into sources of funds to finance the various services being provided by our charity partners to our veterans.
