Veteran Car Donations can help you make the process of getting rid of your yacht easy while also doing something good for veterans right here in Rhode Island. We accept yacht donations, selling them at auction and donating the proceeds to a variety of nonprofits that support former U.S. servicemen and servicewomen in need. We give you a great way to make a difference for those who put their lives on the line for our country, as well as receive other benefits. 

What Yacht Donations Do for Veterans

When you choose to donate your yacht through us, you’ll be contributing to the missions of numerous veteran-centered organizations throughout the state. These certified 501(c)3 nonprofit groups provide a wide range of benefits and services for those who have served but experienced challenges upon returning home. For example, these nonprofits provide: 

• financial support for veterans with low income and those experiencing homelessness;
• assistance for veterans in military hospitals;
• treatment for those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental health issues;
• programs to help them find meaningful employment;
• therapy for veterans who need help reintegrating into society; and
• sponsorship for events that encourage organizations to give back to the veteran community.

The waterways of Rhode Island are some of the most beautiful marine destinations. Adventures abound, from sightseeing the majestic Narragansett Bay to enjoying water sports at Worden Pond. 

Rhode Island is also home to more than 52,000 veterans at last count. Of these, more than 19,000 served during the Vietnam War, more than 8,700 during the Second Gulf War and more than 8,100 during the First Gulf War. The majority of the state’s veterans were of age 55 and older. No matter their age, however, nearly 6% of Rhode Island veterans live below the poverty line. This has a lot to do with the struggles many of them faced upon returning home from service, including finding work, paying bills and coping with mental health issues such as PTSD.
