How Does the Donation Process Go?
At Veteran Car Donations, donating a vehicle is quick and easy. Just reach out to us and we’ll handle the rest. Here’s how the process works:
- Contact us. Call (877) 594-5822 or fill out the above donation form. We’ll ask for some information about yourself and your vehicle. Then, we’ll arrange a time to come out and pick up the vehicle for free.
- We tow the vehicle. Our towing partner will arrive at the agreed-upon time and haul away your unwanted vehicle at no cost to you.
- We send you a tax receipt. After hauling away your vehicle, we’ll put it up for auction and send the proceeds to nonprofits that help veterans. Within a few days, we will mail you a tax receipt. It will allow you to claim a tax deduction based on the value of the car.

In addition to donating your car through Veteran Car Donations, you can reach out to local veteran-focused centers and organizations and ask about volunteer opportunities. Here are a few to start with:
- The Veterans Advisory Board. This organization’s mission is to support veterans and provide information, resources, and services that make their lives easier. - Staff Sergeant Alexander W. Conrad Veterans Affairs Health Care Clinic (Southeast VA Clinic). This clinic is a key federal facility providing direct healthcare and specialty services to veterans.
