From the quiet neighborhoods around Widefield Community Park to the busy streets near Security Boulevard, our community’s military roots run deep. We take pride in standing behind those who once stood for us.
By donating through Veteran Car Donations, you can be part of that tradition. Every vehicle we receive in Security-Widefield helps fund housing, job training, mental health care, and emergency aid for former service members and their families right here in SWF.
Our 3-Step Car Donation Process
No endless back-and-forth. No dealing with lowball offers. Just a fast, straightforward way to make your clunker matter again.
- Give us the basics. Call 877-594-5822 or complete our form with your car’s details. Doesn’t matter if it’s in working condition or gathering dust – we can still take it.
- We come to you. We’ll send our local towing partner to collect your vehicle, usually within 24–48 hours. From Bradley Road to the neighborhoods near Widefield High, we’ll get there at no cost to you.
- Claim your deduction. We’ll mail you a tax receipt you can use to get credit for your donation at tax time.
Your Wins When You Donate
Think of your car donation as a two-way gift. You give local heroes the support they need, and in return, you get perks that make the entire experience easy, cost-free, and even financially rewarding.
- Instant tax benefit: Your mailed tax receipt lets you turn that idle vehicle into a solid write-off for the year.
- Zero expenses on your end: Pickup, forms, and title processing are all handled without you spending a dime.
- Quick goodbye to unwanted vehicles: Selling can drag on for weeks. With us, it’s handled in days.
- Paperwork? Done for you: We’ll make sure the title and all necessary forms are handled correctly so you don’t have to.
- Yes to most vehicle types: Non-running sedans, project cars, boats, RVs – we’re ready to take whatever you’re offering.
Serving Every Corner of Security-Widefield
From busy main roads to peaceful side streets, we’ve helped residents part with cars, trucks, and more. Here are just some of the neighborhoods we’ve visited:
- Widefield Heights: Known for its spacious yards and close-knit feel, Widefield Heights is home to everything from vintage pickups to family vans. We’ve towed away trucks that hadn’t moved in years and SUVs that had been parked since the kids left for college.
- Clearview Estates: With its sweeping mountain views, this neighborhood offers scenic drives – when the cars still run. Mountain weather means plenty of dead batteries and seized engines, plus those ambitious RV purchases that never actually made it to the Rockies.
- Security Commons: A mix of established homes and newer builds, Security Commons residents have called us to haul away motorcycles with flat tires and compact cars that have been sitting under tarps for seasons. The newer driveways make our job easier, but those older homes have some tight squeezes.
- Fountain Valley Ranch: This family-friendly area is full of parks, trails, and, sometimes, vehicles that no longer fit the lifestyle. Our haulers come here now and then to remove trucks and minivans that have become permanent fixtures.
- Pikes Peak Panorama: Living here means gorgeous views, but it also means weathered vehicles from long winters. Colorado weather is brutal on cars, and it’s our job to haul away plenty of rust buckets and trailers that couldn’t survive another freeze-thaw cycle.
- Sunset Village: A quiet, welcoming area where it’s not unusual to see classic cars parked in driveways. We’ve helped owners finally get rid of restoration projects they’ve held onto for decades.
List or no list, we might already be serving your area. Dial 877-594-5822, and we’ll confirm and book your pickup.
FAQ | Security-Widefield, CO Car Donations
1. How fast can you collect my vehicle?
Usually within 24–48 hours of your call or online form submission. Once your car sells, your tax receipt will be mailed within 30 days.
2. What kinds of vehicles can I donate?
We take just about everything, running or not, as long as you’re the legal owner with a valid title. That means:
- Sedans and SUVs are parked along Main Street or near Fountain Mesa Road
- Motorcycles and ATVs are stored in garages in the Sunrise Ridge area
- Boats or trailers kept by Fountain Creek or Widefield Community Park
- RVs or cars that haven’t moved in years
You can find the complete list here.
3. Do I need to prep the car before towing?
Nope! Just take your personal belongings out, remove the plates, and leave the title and keys in a safe place if you won’t be home. No cleaning or repairs necessary.
4. What’s the tax deduction like?
It depends on your car’s final price. If it sells for more than $500, you can write off the full sale amount. If it goes for $500 or less, you can claim its fair market value (up to $500). If you’re not sure how it works for your situation, a discussion with a tax pro can clear things up.
5. How does my donated vehicle benefit local veterans?
We sell it at auction, and the proceeds go straight to programs that support military retirees in and around Security-Widefield. These funds help:
- Provide safe temporary housing and rent help for veterans in the area
- Build mortgage-free and specially adapted homes for injured veterans
- Fund job training and career placement programs
- Cover mental health services, including PTSD counseling
- Give access to healthcare and emergency assistance for bills, food, or transportation
6. My title has an error. Can I still donate?
Of course. Our title experts handle missing signatures, outdated names, or even misplaced titles all the time. If a DMV trip is needed, we’ll give you a simple checklist for the Colorado DMV at 8830 North Union Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80920, so it’s done in one visit.
