A Region That Gives Back – and Keeps Giving
If you’ve ever watched Swedish Days unfold in downtown Geneva or spent a Saturday on the Fox River Trail, you know what Fox Valley is made of: generosity, grit, and neighbors who look out for one another. You feel it at Graham’s Ice Cream, at outdoor concerts by the river in St. Charles, or walking through Batavia’s windmill plaza. This is a place with history and heart – and we take care of our own.
That’s especially true when it comes to our veterans. From the flags raised near Veterans Memorial Island in Aurora to The Wall That Heals welcomed in Elgin, this community honors its service members in real, everyday ways. Even the Fabyan Villa, nestled in a Geneva preserve, carries a legacy of WWII codebreaking that connects Fox Valley to the national story.
If you’ve got a car, truck, or RV sitting idle, you’ve got a chance to give back. We make it easy – no DMV lines, no towing hassles, and no guessing where your donation goes. It stays local, helping veterans access housing, jobs, and support services in Kane and DuPage Counties.
How the Car Donation Process Works
It’s faster than the Randall Road rush hour and simpler than a Sunday brunch line.
1. Contact us: Start with a short form or quick call at 877-594-5822. Tell us where the vehicle is, what kind it is, and whether it still runs. (It doesn’t have to.)
2. We’ll schedule a free pickup that works for you: Parked behind the house in Campton Hills? In a downtown Elgin lot? We’ll coordinate a time and handle the logistics.
3. Get your tax receipt once your car is sold: No guesswork – just the documents you need for your next return.
We handle the title transfer, too. Usually, we can complete it without a trip to the DMV. If needed, we’ll point you to the right office and help you through it.

Where We Pick Up Around Fox Valley
We’ve helped folks all across the Valley donate vehicles, and every neighborhood has its own story to tell.
- St. Charles: Historic storefronts and paddleboats set the tone downtown, but it’s the people who make it special. We often receive extra SUVs and older sedans from long-time locals looking to give back.
- Geneva: From Third Street shopping to walks through Fabyan’s Japanese Garden, this town blends charm and civic pride. Donors here often let go of reliable hybrids or family vans no longer in use.
- Batavia: With its river trails, old brick mills, and summer festivals, Batavia gives in big and quiet ways. Vehicles here include aging trucks and trailered boats parked since last summer’s river trip.
- Elgin: A cultural hub with the Hemmens Center and classic homes along Highland Avenue, Elgin mixes new energy with old roots. Donations range from commuter sedans to vans that once carried teams or tools.
- Campton Hills: Tucked west of Geneva near Red Gate Park, this quiet area sees plenty of third vehicles – trailers, RVs, and pickups that’ve finished their work.
- Aurora (Fox Valley Mall area): Whether near Waubonsie Park or down Route 59, Aurora is home to families and veterans alike. Donated cars here are often retired daily drivers or second vehicles that have been gathering dust.
Live nearby but not in town? We serve North Aurora, Montgomery, South Elgin, and beyond. If you’re in the Valley, we’re already nearby.
Common Questions from Fox Valley Donors
1. How long does pickup take?
Usually 24–48 hours. We work with local tow partners who know Fabyan Parkway, Randall, and Route 59 like the back of their hand.
2. Do I need to be there when the vehicle’s picked up?
Not always. Just let us know where to find the keys and documents – we’ll take it from there.
3. What types of vehicles do you accept?
Just about anything. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, trailers, boats, even old RVs. Roadworthy or not.
4. Will my donation stay local?
Yes. The proceeds directly help veterans in Kane and DuPage Counties – right here where you live.
5. Do I get a tax break?
You do. Once your vehicle is sold, we’ll send a tax-deductible receipt showing the sale value.
6. What if I don’t have the title anymore?
We can usually solve that without a trip to the DMV. If needed, you’ll head to:
- Elgin Driver Services Facility – 700 S State St, Elgin, IL 60123
