How Are Donations Used?

- Reach out to us.
Call us at 877-594-5822 or fill out our online donation form to begin. Share a few key details about your vehicle, including its year, make, model, VIN, condition, and whether you have the title. Once we verify your information, we’ll get in touch to confirm and set up your vehicle’s free pickup and towing.
- Enjoy free towing.
We’ll arrange for one of our trusted towing partners to pick up your vehicle at a time and place that work best for you. On pickup day, you’ll receive a towing receipt that officially releases you from all liability for the vehicle. After that, you’re free to cancel your DMV registration and insurance.
- Get your tax-deductible receipt.
Your vehicle will be sold through one of the top auction houses in our network. Within 30 days of the sale, we’ll mail you your 100% tax-deductible receipt. You’ll need this document to claim your deduction when you file your itemized federal income tax return next tax season.

Veterans Memorial Park, established in 1926 and located at 101 East Fulton Northeast, features memorial pillars honoring service members from WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. The Grand Rapids Vet Center provides free, confidential non-medical support for veterans and their families.

Can My Car Be Picked Up From A Different Location Than Home?Â
Of course! Veteran Car Donations can pick up your vehicle from almost anywhere. Whether it’s parked at a repair shop, kept in a storage unit, or sitting at another residential address, we’ll work it out. Just tell us where it is when you schedule your donation, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Do I Need To Be Present At Pickup, Or Can We Handle It?
Don’t worry if you can’t be present at pickup. Many donors can’t attend the appointment (or prefer not to be home), and that’s totally fine. Our towing partners handle no-contact pickups all the time, so you can relax knowing everything will go smoothly.
