Donate Your Motorcycle to Support Veterans in North Carolina

Here you’ll learn how donating your old motorcycle to Veteran Car Donations helps struggling veterans in North Carolina live better lives. No matter where you are in the state, whether it’s Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Durham, Winston-Salem or beyond, your donation can support real services like housing, job training and mental health care. You’ll also see just how quick and easy the donation process is.

Have a motorcycle that’s no longer in use and just taking up space in your yard or carport? Consider donating it to Veteran Car Donations. For more than 20 years, we’ve been helping fund life-changing veteran programs through the donations we receive.

By joining our North Carolina motorcycle donations program, you’ll give veterans a meaningful ride toward a better future.

You might have great memories of cruising on your motorcycle, but maybe now it’s time for something different, which could mean something safer or more practical and better suited to your lifestyle. What once gave you excitement may no longer fit your needs, especially if driving a car feels safer or more comfortable in North Carolina’s city streets.

How Can Your Motorcycle Donations Help Our Veterans?

That old motorcycle may seem like just a pile of metal and rubber, but donating it can help veterans across North Carolina rebuild their lives. When you donate through our program, we auction your motorcycle and use the proceeds to support our nonprofit partners. These organizations deliver crucial services to veterans and their families, including:

  • Educational support through scholarships and tutoring programs
  • Job training and career development workshops
  • Mental health services for veterans with PTSD, TBI, depression and more
  • Mortgage-free homes for homeless veterans and adapted housing for those with injuries
  • Emotional support for the families of fallen soldiers
  • Transition assistance for recently discharged veterans
  • Outreach and information on available veteran benefits
  • Public awareness campaigns about veteran needs

By donating, you help sustain and grow these important programs across your local community.

Beyond Donating, How Else Can I Help My Community?

If you want to do more than donate, consider volunteering your time. Many local VA centers in North Carolina welcome community involvement. Reach out to one of the following locations to ask about current volunteer opportunities:

  • Durham VA Medical Center
  • Charles George Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center
  • W.G. (Bill) Hefner Salisbury Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center

Volunteering is another powerful way to support the men and women who’ve served our country.

What Are the Perks That Await Our North Carolina Motorcycle Donors?

When you donate your old motorcycle to Veteran Car Donations, you’ll enjoy several great benefits:

  • A maximum tax deduction for your charitable gift
  • Free towing at a time and place that works for you
  • No need to deal with the hassle of selling your motorcycle
  • Extra space in your garage, yard or driveway
  • The satisfaction of knowing your donation helps veterans return to stable, fulfilling lives

Can You Explain Your Quick and Easy North Carolina Motorcycle Donations Process?

We make donating your motorcycle fast and simple. Whether you’re donating a Chopper, Hog, Goldwing Cruiser, Street Bike or Crotch Rocket – and no matter the brand (Yamaha, Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, etc.) – we’re happy to take it. Here’s how it works:

  1. Contact us.
Call 877-594-5822 or fill out our online form. We’ll ask for a few details about you and your motorcycle. Everything you share is confidential.
  2. We pick up your motorcycle.
We’ll coordinate with a licensed towing company in your area. They’ll contact you to schedule pickup at your convenience. Once picked up, you’ll receive a donation receipt that releases you from all liabilities and allows you to deregister your bike and cancel insurance.
  3. Get your tax receipt.
After pickup, we refurbish your motorcycle if needed and place it for auction. Proceeds go to veteran-focused nonprofits. Within 30 days of the sale, we’ll mail you a tax-deductible sales receipt showing the final sale price, which is the amount you’ll claim on your federal tax return.
